Deep in the Heart

Theme Verse
“The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9
In today’s world, success is often measured by outward appearances—how we look, what we achieve, and the popularity we gain. From social media followers to the latest trends, these markers seem to dictate our worth. However, the Bible presents a radically different perspective. God is not swayed by the number of likes, the brands we wear, or our accomplishments. Instead, He looks deep in the heart. He seeks individuals who are humble, honest, and fully committed to Him—those whose lives are shaped by His love from the inside out.
This summer, we’re inviting students to step away from the shallow waters of surface-level faith and dive deeper into a meaningful relationship with God. Jesus doesn’t desire a casual or distant connection; He longs for a profound, personal relationship where we grow in our understanding and love for Him. Living “deep in the heart” is an invitation to embrace an inside-out life, where our worth and identity are defined not by our achievements or appearances, but by who we are in God’s eyes.
2 Chronicles 16:9 says that “God is searching for hearts that are completely His.” He seeks genuine faith, not image or appearance. In Scripture, the heart represents the core of our being, where our desires, thoughts, motivations, and emotions take root. When our hearts align with God, our actions, choices, and relationships begin to reflect His love and truth. This is why God urges us to “guard our heart (Proverbs 4:23), to store up his word in our heart (Psalm 119:9-11), and to love him with all our heart (Matthew 22:37).
This summer, as we challenge campers to go “deep in the heart,” we are calling them to pursue an authentic and unshakeable relationship with Jesus. This journey starts from within, leading to lives that are genuinely transformed and deeply rooted in God’s love. God is not asking us to perform to certain standards; He is inviting us to allow His love to transform us from the inside out. In doing so, we can live with purpose, confidence, and peace that stems from knowing our true worth in Him.
Are you ready to go deeper? Join us this summer as we explore what it means to have a heart fully devoted to God and to experience the abundant life He offers.
